Why Finance the 4Runner?
Ownership is the point with this one. The body-on-frame
construction and the four-wheel-drive hardware are built to be used hard and kept. Once the loan
is paid off, the 4Runner is yours outright, with no return date and nothing to hand back.
No mileage limits, either. That matters when your drive to work
crosses a ridge and the weekend adds a few hundred miles toward the mountains.
You can also change it however you want. A roof rack, better tires
for winter, recovery gear on the back. Nothing has to come back off at the end of a term.

Powertrain and Drivetrain
Under the hood sits Toyota's i-FORCE 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four:
278 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 317 lb-ft of torque at 1,700 rpm, through a twin-scroll
turbocharger with wastegate valve control and an air-cooled intercooler.
That low peak matters for the way this vehicle actually gets used: a loaded
trailer or a steep grade does not demand a downshift and a raised voice.
The 4x4 SR5 sends that through part-time four-wheel drive with an
electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. You get a genuine low range, not an
on-demand system that reacts only once traction has already gone.
Maximum towing capacity is 6,000 pounds. Ground clearance measures 8.1
inches, and the vehicle weighs 4,685 pounds at the curb. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 19
city, 25 highway and 21 combined.
Cabin and Connection
The SR5 interior is built around use rather than show. Front seats are
fabric-trimmed with 6-way manual adjustment for driver and passenger. The second row splits
60/40, reclines, and tumble-folds out of the way on the days when the load matters more than
the passengers, and it carries a center armrest with cup holders.
An 8-inch Audio Multimedia Display runs wireless Apple CarPlay and Android
Auto through 8 speakers plus a roof-mounted Exciter, a sensible answer to a tall,
hard-surfaced cabin. Ahead of the driver sits a digital gauge cluster with a 7-inch color
Multi-Information Display. Smart Key System with Push Button Start handles entry and
ignition. Single-zone manual climate control with air filtration keeps the controls simple
enough to work in gloves, and rear-seat air vents look after the second row.
Safety and Coverage
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard on every SR5. Pre-Collision System
with Pedestrian Detection watches the road ahead for a vehicle or a person, and Lane
Departure Alert with Steering Assist watches for the drift out of a lane. Lane Tracing
Assist and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control take some of the strain out of a long highway run,
while Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Assist and Proactive Driving Assist work quietly in
the background.
Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert covers the angles mirrors
do not. An integrated backup camera with projected path shows the actual reversing line
rather than a guess. Every seating position carries a three-point belt, with pretensioners
and force limiters up front. The 4Runner carries a 4-star overall NHTSA rating.
Basic coverage runs 36 months or 36,000 miles. The powertrain is covered
for 60 months or 60,000 miles, and corrosion perforation for 60 months with no mileage
cap.
